International Students

Students must be proficient in English to be eligible for admission to the Secondary School Program. Students whose primary language is not English must submit an official TOEFL score. The Harvard Summer School institution code is 8578.

The F-1 visa category is appropriate for students applying for full-time study in the Secondary School Program. Students who need an I-20 for an F-1 visa should request one when they apply. The I-20 will be issued to students admitted to the program after they register for classes and submit the required prepayment. Students who enter the United States on an F-1 visa must remain enrolled full time and should apply as early as possible. I-20s will not be issued after May 1.

All students who attend the Summer School must comply with Massachusetts immunization regulations. Immunization forms and instructions can be downloaded from the Summer School website. They are also included in the Summer School catalogue mailed to students upon admission.
