Financial Aid
- SSP financial aid assists students who demonstrate financial need.
- Students apply for financial aid after acceptance to SSP.
- A typical SSP financial aid award covers only a portion of tuition.
- Many students who apply for SSP financial aid also seek other sources of funding.
- Early application is advised.
Accepted students who are US citizens or permanent residents may apply for SSP financial aid (download* form). Awards are granted on the basis of academic merit, financial need, and availability; preference is given to high school juniors. SSP financial aid cannot cover all expenses, and only rarely does it cover any portion of room-and-board fees. After acceptance, students may download financial-aid applications from the SSP website, or request that a form be mailed. Financial-aid applications are processed on a rolling basis as long as financial aid is available. The deadline for applying for financial aid is May 1; however, there is no guarantee that financial-aid funds will still be available by that date.
Payment
Full payment of all tuition and fees is due by June 10, 2007.
- $50 payment due with application
- $820 (eight-week session) or $416 (short session) housing prepayment due with housing application
A $100 late fee will be applied to outstanding accounts after June 10. Bills may be paid by MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, personal check, or cash. All checks should be made payable to Harvard Summer School.
