This course is designed for highly motivated students with little or no previous instruction in Latin who are seriously interested in making quick progress in the language. The course covers all basic grammar and offers practice in reading continuous prose.

In this course we read and discuss the poetry of Catullus, focusing on the entirety of his oeuvrethe polymetrics, longer poems, and epigrams. Prerequisite: A minimum of one year of college-level Latin or the equivalent.
